This is a three-day class for the forensic photographer or photo lab technician. Hands-on exercises covering techniques for image management, creating court displays, creating photo line-ups, color and density matching, making multimedia presentations, optimizing scanners and printers, color management, and other topics will be covered.
Because this is an advanced course, no theory, no issues related to courtroom testimony, and very little enhancement work will be done. Instead, students will immediately begin hands-on exercises in color matching, image sizing, print optimization for different printers and formats, and other digital photo lab applications in creating photo line-ups, matching backgrounds, combining multiple images, using layers, and advanced digital darkroom techniques using exercises provided by the instructor.
This is not a beginning class. Students should be familiar with computers, digital imaging, and imaging applications. If you need a basic class in imaging techniques, we also offer the course, Introduction to Forensic Digital Imaging.
