This 40-hour seminar is designed to familiarize law enforcement personnel with the different patterns produced when blood is shed during a crime and how to properly document those patterns. The class will perform hands-on experiments, creating various bloodstain patterns, documenting and interpreting crime scenes through photography.Through these practical exercises, students will study the effects of external forces on the development of bloodstain patterns, as well as methods used to reconstruct the source or point of origin of a bloodstain.
This course is meets the requirements set aside by the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (IABPA) and the International Associatioin for Identification IAI for a 40-hour basic bloodstain pattern workshop.
